17 January, 2025

The Sisters of St. John the Baptist have launched a new Women Empowerment Initiative aimed at supporting underprivileged women through skill development and self-sustainability programs. The initiative, which was inaugurated at their community center, focuses on providing vocational training in tailoring, handicrafts, and entrepreneurship. With the goal of uplifting women from marginalized backgrounds, the program equips them with skills to achieve financial independence and self-confidence.

Speaking at the launch event, the Baptistine Sisters emphasized their commitment to fostering dignity and self-reliance among women. The initiative also includes awareness sessions on health, hygiene, and legal rights, ensuring holistic development for participants. The sisters, known for their dedication to education and social welfare, believe that empowering women is key to transforming communities and building a stronger society.

Participants of the program have already begun their training and expressed gratitude for the opportunity to learn and grow. Many women have shared their aspirations of starting small businesses and contributing to their families' well-being. Through such initiatives, the Baptistine Sisters continue to extend their mission of service, offering hope and empowerment to those in need.
